Loise.W. Kahenya (Mumbi) – Founder/CEO
Loise lives in Long Beach, CA and is the owner of Mumbi's Designs, an online store that sells African and ethnic gift items and clothing. Her life-long dream is to partner with like-minded people to bring education to the African youth as well as join other local nonprofits for disaster relief operations. Loise is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, Bachelor of Science (Hons), in Business Administration.
Robert W. Turner- Secretary
Robert works and lives in Long Beach, CA. He is a program coordinator for a non-profit organization, providing services to adults with disabilities in the Southern California community. His main objective at work is to keep his clients independent in their own homes. He is pleased to partner with Mumbi to bring to life her vision for Save African Families.
Peter M. Kahenya – Treasurer
Peter has over 3 years experience in the non-profit sector. Education has been a privilege he has enjoyed. The same cannot be said for a majority of children and youth in rural communities across Africa. He believes education is the key to giving those children and their communities the tools they need to succeed now and into the future.
Jacqueline K. Ortega – Asst. Treasurer
Jacqueline lives and works in Long Beach, CA. On her days off, she volunteers at different Rescue Missions that feed the homeless and the needy in Long Beach and Los Angeles. Born in California. Jacqueline has always had a close affinity to Africa and wanted to work with an organization that helps bring education to African children. She is pleased to partner with Mumbi to fulfill that dream.
